Frequently asked questions
What is GEO?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: the work of making AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI answers know a business, describe it correctly and recommend it. For hotels this mainly means facts in plain text, answers to real guest questions and a technically clean, multilingual website.
How fast does AI visibility work?
AI assistants only see changes to a website once they have read it again, usually after days or weeks. That is why we measure monthly and not the day after a change. A single AI answer says little, because it comes out slightly different every time.
Do I need a new website for GEO?
Often not. Sometimes only paragraphs with plain facts or a separate address per language are missing. Sometimes the site no longer holds up technically, for example because content is only loaded by script. We tell you honestly which case applies to you.
Is an llms.txt file enough?
No. An llms.txt does no harm, but on its own it achieves little: according to current analyses most AI crawlers do not even fetch it. What matters is plain-text content, clean technology and information that matches everywhere.
Why is every question asked several times?
AI answers vary. The same question can name a hotel once and not the next time. Asking only once measures chance. We ask every question several times and only count what repeats.
Can ALPIX-AI guarantee that my hotel will be recommended?
No, and nobody can seriously do so. We guarantee the implementation and an honest, traceable measurement.
